The head of Russia’s state nuclear energy corporation, Rosatom, confirmed that work is ongoing as normal at the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran, despite regional tensions.

In statements, the Rosatom chief said, “We are continuing our operations at the Bushehr nuclear plant in Iran as usual.”

He added that the situation in the area remained calm, noting, “Last night was quiet in Bushehr.”

The Rosatom president also expressed hope that “all our signals have reached the Israeli leadership,” without elaborating on the nature of the messages or the context of his remarks.

Bushehr, located in southern Iran, is home to the country’s first nuclear power reactor, developed in cooperation with Russia. The plant plays a central role in Iran's civilian nuclear energy program.

The statement comes amid heightened military tensions in the region, with increased concerns about the security of nuclear facilities. However, Rosatom’s leadership emphasized that operations at the plant remain uninterrupted.
