Rising Egyptian actress, Jamila Awad delivered an inspiring message under the title “You’re Beautiful” through her latest photo session with Elle Arabia to vitiligo patients.

The message came as part of Awad's efforts to promote self-acceptance and self-love among different women.

The photo session was based on the actress's role as Vitiligo patient Nour from her story “Lazim Aeesh” (I must live) in the TV series “Ela Ana” (except me), which was screened on the "DMC" channel and "WatchiT" platform.

The story, tackling a rare issue for the first time in the history of Egyptian drama, had earned a massive success and received positive reactions on media and Google.

Talking about her role in the series, Awad said: “I really liked this role, as I could portray the struggles faced by Vitiligo patients every day through the bullying they have to put up within our community. I made a lot of preparations for this role, I researched the disease and Vitiligo patients to be able to sincerely reflect on their feelings through the role,”

She also sent a message to the Vitiligo patients, saying: “I address every vitiligo patient and everyone who feels he/she is different from the others, you have to accept your disease, your difference, and your true self as an integrated person. You’re beautiful as you are and in all your states. The true goodness in any person is shown through their inside out, never through their looks.”
