Former England and Manchester City defender turned pundit, Micah Richards, praised Mohamed Salah for his performance in 2021 and expects 2022 to be better.
Since Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017, Salah has been making history with the Reds, breaking the most scored goals in one Premier League Season record with 32 goals in his first season in Anfield.
Overall, Liverpool’s No.11 represented the Reds on 228 occasions, netting 147 goals, and creating 56 assists.
He’s now arguably having his best start to a season in his Liverpool career, already scoring 22 goals in 25 appearances while providing nine assists. The Egyptian even broke Jamie Vardy’s record of scoring or assisting in 15 consecutive Premier League games.
“I want Liverpool to finalise a new contract for him and I want him to stay in the Premier League for many more years. He is getting to the level now where we are talking about him being in the Premier League’s Hall of Fame, someone who could be in the all-time team,” Salah’s former Fiorentina teammate wrote for the Daily Mail.
“What a player he has become. He is so dangerous that in some matches you don’t see him for 80 minutes but then he will pop up with a goal or an assist. It’s not luck that happens. He’s at Cristiano Ronaldo levels now, the one-time winger who has redefined himself to become an ultimate scorer.
