Iranian Media Deny Former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's Assassination

Moments ago, Iranian media reports denied the news aired by Azerbijan's reports about the assassination of former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Azerbaijani television had previously announced the death of Ahmadinejad by gunshot in Tehran.

In the same context, the head of the Iranian Armed Forces General Staff had declared that "the killing of our citizens, scientists, and leaders of our armed forces will only increase our determination to punish the Zionist entity," stressing that the response would be decisive and severe.

He added that "the Iranian people have never submitted to any aggression and will hold the Zionist entity accountable for its criminal actions," referring to the recent series of assassinations and attacks on Iranian sites and figures.

Iran had announced the launch of its tenth wave of missile and drone strikes on targets in the occupied Palestinian territories earlier today, Tuesday.

Iranian state television reported that missiles and drones were fired towards various areas in Israel.
