Today marks the late veteran actor and producer Sami El-Adl's 76th birth anniversary.
The late actor was one of the biggest names in Egyptian cinema. Born in Mansoura, in 1946, El-Adl cemented his place as one of the top actors in the Arab world pretty early on in his career.
His versatility, skill, wit, and charm earned him many fans worldwide, who love his performances in films like The Strawberry War, and Hysteria.
In a career that spanned more than 45 years, the filmmaker helmed such classic movies as 'Al Batal' (1997), The Dealer (2010) and 'Ashab wala Business' (2001).
He has also had roles in several television series like Raya and Sakina, Mahmoud El Masry, 'Souk Al-Khodaar', 'Tofahet Adam' and The Preacher.
His famous films include 'Hurub Mawmia' (frar mawmya'), 'Salam Murabbae Llstat', 'Al-Kibar', 'Al-Dealer', 'Azmet Sharaf' and 'Al-Kibar'
Apart from acting, he also established a production company in the late 1980s, calling it “El-Adl Film” before Sami’s three brothers set up the now-famous El-Adl Group in 1997, which produced more than 18 films and 26 television series.
He passed away on July 10, 2015, due to cancer but the actor's legacy is inspiring everyone.
