Recent National Disasters in Afghanistan Leave 9 killed, 74 Injured

The Afghan National Disaster Management Authority announced that the recent natural disasters in the country have left 9 dead and 74 injured.

 

 The spokesman for the Afghan National Disaster Management Authority, said that the recent earthquake, heavy rains and floods, which struck 23 out of 34 provinces in Afghanistan, killed 9 people and injured 74 others, according to Sputnik. 

A strong earthquake hit the Hindu Kush mountains at the end of last week, most of which are located in Afghanistan, according to the European Center for Mediterranean Seismology.

The earthquake hit Afghanistan and neighboring Pakistan, killing at least 13 people and injuring about 100 others in the two countries, in addition to heavy rains and devastating floods this week.
