Real Madrid announced on Friday that forward Luka Jovic has tested positive for coronavirus after returning from international duty. Therefore, he will not be at Zinedine Zidane's squad  for Real Madrid's duel against Villarreal on Saturday.

Eden Hazard, Casemiro and Eder Militao also contracted COVID-19 in the last weeks but they have all tested negative and will be available for the game at the Estadio de la Ceramica.

"Jovic will now go into self-isolation, unable to train with the rest of his teammates until he tests negative again," Marca reported.

The Real Madrid striker seemed to be rediscovering his form in the international break as he netted three goals for Serbia in the UEFA Nations League.

Jovic tested negative at first, but after three of his teammates - Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Derko Lazovic and Dorde Nikolic - as well as a Serbia physio tested positive for the virus.

Real Madrid is waiting the latest results to come out.
