Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicted that the country will witness unstable weather, accompanied by rain and wind activity, during daylight hours on Wednesday.
The EMA experts also predict moderate weather to prevail in Cairo and Lower Egypt, along with moderate wind activity.
Meanwhile, moderate weather and active winds will prevail in the northern coasts, which will be warm in South Sinai, as well as in the southern and northern Upper Egypt, and face moderate winds.
In a statement, Dr. Mahmoud Shaheen, Director of EMA predicted that there are chances of moderate rain to prevail in Cairo, Marsa Matrouh, Beheira, Alexandria, Gharbia, Menoufia, Ras Sidr, Nekhel, and Saint Catherine.
Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rain is predicted to hit Damietta, Port Said, Kafr El Sheikh, Dakahlia, Sharkia, Ismailia, Suez, Rafah, and Al-Arish.
Light and moderate rain will prevail in Fayoum, Beni Suef, and Minya.
The experts also predict that cold weather will prevail in Cairo, Lower Egypt, northern coasts, and South Sinai, which will be extremely cold in the northern and southern Upper Egypt.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 20C in Cairo, 19C in Alexandria, 21C in Marsa Matruh, 23C in Sohag, 23C in Qena, and 23C in Aswan.
Tips of How to Deal with Bad Weather
1- Wearing appropriate clothes and don't wear light clothes, due to low temperatures
2- It is preferable not to leave the house except for when necessary, especially for sinus and chest diseases patients due to wind activity
3- Avoid being outdoors where there is a lot of wind and dust
4- Avoid standing under billboards or near light poles and electricity booths during the rain
5- Drive safely on the roads, especially during heavy rain
6- Avoid traveling on roads, especially desert roads
7- Avoid marine activities due to disturbance of sea movement due to wind activity and high waves
8- Frequently check the EMA weather forecast to be updated on the current climate
