The Syrian-German band Shkoon received approval from Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama to present a new version of his 1986 song "Ya Rayt".
The band has managed to build a bridge between the East and West by mixing Eastern music with modern Western electronic music while preserving the identity of the song.
They presented a refreshing acoustic version that featured a range of different musical instruments and gave a new tone to Ragheb's song.

In a statement, the superstar commented on the new version, saying:" 'Ya Rayt' was my first single in 1986, so it naturally holds a special place in my heart. My son Khaled and my nephew Gad are huge fans of Shkoon, so I am very excited to bring the song back with a modern twist,”.
“It has always been one of our goals to build a bridge between oriental music and modern electronic music. Ragheb Alama has been a high-profiled Arab pop artist for over forty years, so we are very excited about the remix of 'Ya Rayt',” Shkoon added.
