In April, Sisi telephoned Iohannis and discussed the efforts exerted to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus epidemic.
Both leaders agreed to enhance joint cooperation through exchanging experiences and ensuring coordination between health care providers in the two friendly countries within the framework of international efforts to contain the spread of the virus.
"During the call, they also tackled means of supporting cooperation frameworks between Egypt and Romania in various fields, especially with regard to economic aspects and trade exchange. A number of regional files of common interest were also reviewed," said Rady.
