Rady: Sisi to Receive Israel’s Lapid in Cairo

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will receive Israel’s Foreign Minister Yair Lapid in Cairo, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady statements on Thursday.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency Bassam Rady stated that the meeting discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields and issues of common interest on the regional and international levels, especially the question of Palestine.

Sisi affirmed that Egypt would pursue its efforts to achieve a comprehensive and just peace in the Middle East on the basis of the two-state solution and the terms of reference of international legitimacy, in a way that achieves security and stability and advances prospects for cooperation and development for all the peoples of the region.

He highlighted Egypt’s reconstruction efforts in Gaza, adding that Egypt would continue its efforts to prevent the flare-up of tension between the Palestinians and Israelis.
