Qatar's Amb. to Cairo: Egypt is Strategic Depth for countries in Region

Salem Mubarak Al Shafi, Qatar's ambassador in Cairo, said that the Egyptian state represents a strategic depth for the countries of the region, pointing out that Egypt and Qatar are willing to start a new phase of bilateral cooperation in various fields and at various levels.

This came during his meeting with Minister of Trade and Industry Nevin Gamea to discuss ways to  enhance economic, trade and investment relations between Egypt and Qatar during the next phase.

Qatar's ambassador in Cairo pointed out to the importance of enhancing the rates of intra-regional trade and joint investments between Egypt and Qatar to reflect the great potentials of both countries and to highlight the distinguished relations between the two brotherly peoples, especially since there is consensus between the Egyptian and Qatari governments on a large number of joint cooperation files.

Th ambassador praised the economic reforms and urban developments implemented by Egypt during the current stage.

On her part, Gamea invited the new Minister of Trade and Industry in Qatar to visit Cairo to discuss files and axes of joint work between Egypt and Qatar during the next stage.
