Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, commented on the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, saying: “We hope that the announcement of the ceasefire agreement will contribute to ending the aggression, destruction and killing in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.”
Noteworthy, Egypt, Qatar, US announced that the two parties to the conflict in Gaza had reached an agreement to exchange prisoners and hostages and restore sustainable calm in order to achieve a permanent ceasefire between the two parties. The agreement is expected to enter into force on January 19, 2025.
