The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced that Qatar would host the CAF Super Cup for the next three years.

"Qatar will host the CAF Super Cup for the next three years after Qatar Football Association (QFA) signed an agreement with CAF regarding that matter," Mansoor Al-Ansari, General Secretary of QFA.

Egypt's Zamalek are set to play the Super Cup against Espérance Sportive de Tunis on February, 14 in Doha.

The last edition of the Super Cup was held in Qatar, where Morocco's Raja defeated ES Tunis and claimed the title.

On his part, Zamalek president Mortada Mansour had repeatedly announced his objection to playing the Super Cup in Doha.

“Playing in Qatar is hell and we do not have an ambassador there. If our state has another opinion, we will respect it, but at this moment I am not going to play the Super Cup there,” Mansour said on Nov. 28th.

Noteworthy, Zamalek clinched the Confederation Cup for the first time in their history after securing the victory in a dramatic penalty shootout against RS Berkane at Burj Al Arab Stadium (5-3) in May.

The White knights, who were drawn in Group A in the CAF Champions League alongside C.D. Primeiro de Agosto, ZESCO United F.C (Zambia), and TP Mazembe (DR Congo), are set to head to DR Congo to play the first round in the group stage on Saturday, November 30.
