Qatar has delivered 6,200 tons of fuel to the Lebanese Army as part of its third and final shipment for the year 2025.

The fuel arrived at the Port of Tripoli and was confirmed by the Qatar Fund for Development as part of the Gulf nation’s ongoing commitment to Lebanon’s stability and resilience.

This final delivery concludes a multi-phase assistance program that began in March 2025, when Lebanon received the first batch of Qatari fuel support.

The aid is designed to strengthen the operational capacity of the Lebanese Armed Forces amid the country’s ongoing economic and political challenges.

In an official statement, the Qatar Fund for Development emphasized that the support reflects Qatar’s firm solidarity with the Lebanese people and its dedication to Lebanon’s prosperity and security during this critical period.

The Lebanese Army also acknowledged the support, describing the donation as part of Qatar’s valuable initiatives to bolster the military's capabilities during a time of exceptional strain.

This year’s fuel aid follows similar Qatari assistance in 2024. In September of last year, Qatar provided a $15 million grant through its development fund to cover three months of fuel needs for Lebanon’s army.

The repeated support underlines Doha’s strategic humanitarian and regional role, particularly in maintaining stability and aiding essential institutions across the Middle East.
