Qatar announced today that it thwarted attempts to target Hamad International Airport amidst the ongoing Iranian attacks in the Gulf region.
"There were attempts to attack Hamad International Airport, and all of them were thwarted," said Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid Al-Ansari during a press conference in Doha today. He added that Doha is not in contact with Tehran.
Meanwhile, the Qatari Ministry of Interior warned on Tuesday against gathering at or going to incident sites, or filming and publishing videos related to the latest developments on the ground, to avoid legal repercussions.
The Ministry stressed, in a statement posted on its official X platform, according to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), that such actions hinder the work of the relevant authorities and affect the speed of response and the safety of everyone.
The Ministry of Interior affirmed that the competent security agencies are continuing their field operations to manage the situation efficiently and effectively, ensuring the highest levels of response and action in accordance with approved emergency plans.
