Russian President Vladimir Putin said that a frank and useful discussion on Ukraine was held with African countries at the "Russia-Africa" summit held in St. Petersburg.
Putin indicated - during his meeting with the President of the Republic of Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso, that Congo supports most of the Russian draft resolutions, including those related to combating the glorification of Nazism, Russia Today reported.
He made it clear that Russia and the Republic of the Congo are cooperating fruitfully in the United Nations and other international forums, noting that Moscow appreciates the warm attitude of the Republic of the Congo and its leadership towards Russia and is ready to strengthen relations between the two countries.
"Our bilateral relations with the Republic of the Congo are of a stable nature based on traditions of friendship, understanding and mutual support," he said.
