Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday, that the Russian army is fighting for the security of its homeland and the residents of Donbas, adding, "Our duty is to preserve those who protected Russia from Nazism."
During his speech on the 77th anniversary of WWII victory, Putin added: "Punishment operations have been prepared in Donbas, in addition to attempts to manufacture nuclear weapons, and the deployment of military infrastructure in Ukraine to threaten Russia."
