Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Belarus on Monday, Belarus President's office said.

Putin will have talks with his Belarus' counterpart Alexander Lukashenko. The discussions will take place at the Independence Palace in Minsk.

The visit comes 10 months after the beginning of the Russian military operations in Ukraine, which was launched from several regions, including Belarusian territory.

Minsk said that the talks will examine deeper negotiations related to the “Belarusian-Russian integration”.

Moscow and Minsk committed to several joint programs for deeper economic and defense cooperation.

Minsk's statement said that the “presidents will also give priority to security issues and exchange views on the situation in the region and the world” without referring to Ukraine.
