Russia’s President Vladimir Putin will hold talks with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping before the end of the year, according to the Russian Tass news agency on Monday.
Tass did not give details of the date or form of these talks.
The agency quoted Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying that the two sides would announce the details at the appropriate time.
Putin and Xi announced a "borderless" partnership between the two countries when the Russian president visited Beijing in February, three weeks before his invasion of Ukraine.
With Western nations condemning Russia's war in Ukraine and imposing sanctions on the Russian economy, partnership with China has taken on greater importance for Putin, although he acknowledged in September that China had "questions and concerns" about the situation in Ukraine.
