Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he has not made any decision about running for president in 2024.
"Yes, the constitution allows me to run for a new term, but no decisions have been taken in this regard," the Russian president said in an exclusive interview with CNBC.
Asked about his possible successor in the presidency, Putin said: "I prefer not to answer such questions, this is my traditional answer."
"There is still a lot of time until the next elections and talks about this issue destabilize the situation. The situation must be calm so that all power bodies, all state structures could work in a stable manner and look to the future calmly," the Russian President added.
