Russian President Vladimir Putin, his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz held a joint phone call to discuss the situation in Ukraine, The Kremlin reported.
"Special attention was paid to the state of affairs on the negotiation track, which is in a frozen state due to the fault of Kyiv. Vladimir Putin confirmed the openness of the Russian side regarding the resumption of dialogue," the Kremlin said in a statement on Saturday.
Putin also spoke to Scholz and Macron about Russia's work to normalize peaceful life in Donbas.
The Kremlin added that Putin informed in detail about the latest developments in the context of the ongoing Russian special operation, noting that the Russian armed forces strictly adhere to the rules of international humanitarian law.
The Russian president said sending Western weapons into Ukraine destabilizes the situation and exacerbates the humanitarian crisis.
Putin mentioned that supplies of agricultural products from Russia may reduce the current tensions in the global food market, pointing at the same time to the need to lift sanctions against Moscow.
He stressed that Russia is prepared to look for ways to export grain, including transporting it from the Black Sea ports.
