Kremlin revealed new details about the phone talks between President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The Kremlin said that Erdogan praised Moscow's constructive mediation in normalizing relations between Turkey and Syria.
In a statment,Turkish presidency indicated that the talks included discussing steps to improve Turkish-Russian relations and developments related to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
The statement pointed out that Erdogan thanked the Russian president for his "positive stance regarding the extension of the Black Sea Grain Initiative."
Erdogan expressed Ankara's interest in ending the conflict between Russia and Ukraine through negotiations as soon as possible.
