Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said the project to revive Historic and Khedivial Cairo is receiving strong state support as part of broader efforts to preserve Egypt’s architectural and cultural identity.
Madbouly made the remarks during a tour to inspect restoration and development work in several historic areas across Cairo.
According to Cabinet spokesman Mohamed El Homsani, the tour included inspection of renovation work in Downtown Cairo within a wider plan to restore historic districts and improve their visual appearance.
The prime minister also reviewed newly opened traffic routes aimed at easing congestion and improving movement between historic areas of the capital.
The visit included a cultural event featuring music, art performances, drawing, puppet shows, and other activities designed to support public arts and encourage young talent in open public spaces.
