Presidents Sisi, Macron discuss ceasefire efforts in Gaza

 President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi discussed during a phone call with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, Egyptian efforts to ensure the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

The statement explained that the call also addressed Egypt's efforts to exchange hostages and bring humanitarian aid into the Strip, with the aim of alleviating the humanitarian tragedy facing the population.

President Sisi reviewed the efforts made to urgently plan the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, with the aim of restoring stability to the Strip.

For his part, the French President expressed his appreciation for the Egyptian efforts and the pivotal role that Cairo plays in achieving regional stability, stressing France’s full support for the Egyptian efforts in this regard.

The Egyptian and French presidents also affirmed their commitment to the unity and territorial integrity of Syria, and their full support for the presidency and government in Lebanon.
