Presidential Decrees to Establish New Schools in BUC, DUST

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the issuance of two presidential decrees.

The first one no. 545 of 2019 amending some provisions of decree no. 117 of 2013 on the establishment of Badr University in Cairo (BUC) to comprise new schools including (Human Medicine - Applied Health Science Technology - Veterinary Medicine - Political Science and International Relations - Biotechnology - Humanities and Social Sciences - Law).

The academic year will start at Human Medicine faculty by the end of September 2022 coupled with the establishment and operation of the university hospital, as well as the approval of the public and private universities council on the facilities and the operation program.

The second presidential decree no.546 of 2019 amending some provisions of decree no.147 of 2007 on the establishment of “Delta University for Science and Technology” (DUST) to include Human Medicine college.

It is scheduled that the academic year at the Medicine school will start next September 2022.
