Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in the presence of Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs.
The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic said that the meeting focused on reviewing the current developments in the region, as the President affirmed the Egyptian position calling for the need to stop the escalation, to prevent sliding into a full scale regional war, which would have serious repercussions on the security and capabilities of all countries and peoples of the region.
In this context, the President stressed the necessity of intensifying international efforts aimed at reaching a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon, stopping violations and attacks in the West Bank, and implementing urgent and sufficient humanitarian aid to end the worsening suffering of civilians.
