On Tuesday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received a handwritten invitation from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed al-Nahyan to attend COP 28 hosted in Dubai next December.
The message was delivered by the Emirati Ambassador to Cairo Mariam al-Kaaby.
According to the message, Sheikh Bin Zayed also expressed the UAE's keenness on reinforcing cooperation with Egypt and learning more about the Egyptian experience with hosting COP 27, which took place in Sharm El Sheikh last November, as well as the country's success in achieving significant outcomes in the realm of climate action.
President Sisi asked the ambassador to deliver his greetings to his UAE counterpart, expressing confidence in the country's ability to host the event. He also stressed Egypt's eagerness for transferring experience to the UAE to ensure positive outcomes and inclusion of the concerns of African and developing countries.
