President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi performed Friday prayers at Field Marshal Tantawi Mosque in New Cairo's Fifth Settlement district on the occasion of Martyr’s Day.
The Martyr’s Day is celebrated by Egyptian state and people to commemorate Martyr's Day, which coincides with the anniversary of the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim Riad on the 9th of March in 1969, while he was among his valiant soldiers on the Suez Canal front during the War of Attrition.
