Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi held an open discussion with students of the Egyptian Military Academy during a visit that focused on domestic and regional developments, as well as the challenges facing the Egyptian state.

The visit came as President Sisi, who also serves as Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, inspected the Strategic Command headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.

According to Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, the president performed noon prayers alongside senior Armed Forces commanders during his tour of the Strategic Command facility before heading to the military academy.

During the visit, President Sisi reviewed a number of training activities carried out by students from Egypt’s military colleges, in addition to trainees attending specialized courses from various ministries and state institutions.

The president stressed the importance of continuously improving the capabilities of students through advanced training programs that meet the highest technical and professional standards, with the aim of preparing highly qualified national cadres capable of serving state institutions efficiently.

President Sisi also joined academy students for lunch in what officials described as a warm and friendly atmosphere. During the gathering, he engaged in an interactive dialogue with the students covering Egypt’s domestic situation, regional tensions, and the impact of successive international crises on the national economy.

The president praised the awareness and understanding demonstrated by Egyptian youth, emphasizing the importance of maintaining national cohesion amid regional instability.

During the discussion, President Sisi pointed to the ongoing Iranian crisis and escalating tensions in the Middle East, warning that they continue to cast serious negative consequences on both the regional and global economy.

He reaffirmed Egypt’s longstanding approach of supporting Arab unity and strengthening solidarity among Arab states, stressing that regional stability remains a shared responsibility.

The presidential spokesman added that President Sisi highlighted the importance of his regular visits to the military academy in order to personally monitor students’ conditions and follow the continuous development of educational and training programs.

The president also commended the discipline, seriousness, and commitment consistently displayed by academy students.
