President Abdel Fattah  El-Sisi will head to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) on Saturday, to participate at Jeddah Summit, according to Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

Rady added that the participation of President Sisi represents Egypt's keenness on strengthening its ties between Cairo and Washington, as well as, enhancing the mutual efforts for facing the regional and global challenges.

The presidential spokesperson said that the visit aims at deepening the means of coordination and cooperation for preserving the regional and international stability and security, in addition to developing the mutual relations between the participating parties at the summit.

It is worthy to mention that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received US President Joe Biden upon his arrival at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah.

Biden arrived earlier on Friday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for a two-day official visit, as part of a tour in the Middle East that included Israel and the Palestine.

President Biden also held talks with King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the royal palace.

The “Saudi-American” talks deal with aspects of cooperation between the two countries, and discuss ways to confront the challenges facing the region and the world.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) stated that during the meeting, the historical relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the U.S. were reviewed.

The US President was received at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah by Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Mecca, and Princess Rima bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Ambassador to the United States.
