President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi delegated Minister of Defense and Military Production General Abdel Majeed Saqr to take part in the annual commemoration of late President Gamal Abdel Nasser.
General Saqr laid a wreath at Nasser’s tomb and recited prayers for his soul. He also met with the late leader’s family and conveyed President Sisi’s appreciation for Nasser’s historical role and his efforts in advancing national and regional causes.
Saqr said Nasser’s legacy remains a guiding light, with future generations continuing to draw from his example of struggle and commitment to national progress. The ceremony was attended by several senior military officials and members of Nasser’s family.
