Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi concluded his Gulf tour following official visits to the United Arab Emirates and Oman, where discussions focused on regional developments, Arab security, and efforts to contain escalating tensions in the Middle East.
During his visit to Oman, President Sisi held talks with Haitham bin Tariq after arriving in Muscat from the UAE. The Omani leader welcomed the Egyptian president at the Royal Airport in the presence of Egyptian Ambassador Yasser Shaaban and members of the Egyptian diplomatic mission.
The two leaders held expanded discussions attended by delegations from both countries, followed by a closed bilateral meeting and an official working dinner.
According to the Egyptian presidency, President Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s full support and solidarity with Oman amid ongoing regional developments, stressing Cairo’s commitment to preserving the stability, sovereignty, and security of Arab states.
The discussions also addressed the latest regional crises, with both leaders emphasizing the importance of resolving tensions through negotiations and diplomatic efforts rather than military escalation.
President Sisi reiterated Egypt’s firm rejection of any threats targeting the security or sovereignty of Arab countries, stressing that Arab security remains an integral part of Egypt’s national security and underlining the unity of Arab destiny.
For his part, Sultan Haitham praised Egypt’s consistent support for Arab stability and commended Cairo’s active diplomatic role in regional de-escalation efforts.
