During her current visit to Egypt, President of the Louvre Museum in Paris Laurence des Cars and her accompanying delegation visited the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) in Fustat.
The visit included a tour inside the two museums, during which she witnessed the works of developing the Tanis Treasures Hall and the Old Kingdom Hall at the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, in addition to King Tutankhamun Hall.
The Director of the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Sabah Abdel Razek accompanied her on a tour of the museum's archives.
At the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat, the visit included a tour inside the various museums' halls, during which Cars and her accompanying delegation listened to a detailed explanation of the history of the museum’s establishment and the highlights of its spectacular archaeological treasures displayed in the Central Exhibition Hall and the Hall of the Royal Mummies.
