Subtitle: Alexander Lukashenko warns of the possibility of a wide-scale war or nuclear catastrophe that the Western countries greatly fear.
In a recent media statement, the Belarusian President, Alexander Lukashenko, emphasized that despite recent Western actions, European countries are extremely fearful of the potential outbreak of a new large-scale war or nuclear disaster.
Lukashenko stated that the West's greatest fear lies in a nuclear catastrophe, and their concerns about the use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine are justified. He also affirmed that Minsk does not desire such a scenario either, stating, "We do not seek it either, and we also fear the occurrence of a nuclear war because it could lead to a global disaster and the disintegration of our planet if all these weapons were to explode."
Lukashenko further highlighted that Russia may resort to using nuclear weapons if its territories are invaded or if such hostile actions threaten its existence. The Belarusian President urged for negotiations as long as there is an opportunity for them, but the West prohibits Ukraine from engaging in any peace talks.
"I am confident and well-informed that the overwhelming majority in Ukraine, including the Ukrainian army, wants to halt this war now. However, there are high-ranking officials led by President Volodymyr Zelensky who do not want that," added Lukashenko.
It was announced by President Alexander Lukashenko on Wednesday that Minsk has begun receiving shipments of tactical nuclear weapons from Russia.
