President Sisi Commits to Ongoing Support for Stability in Sudan

On Thursday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi welcomed General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of Sudan's Transitional Sovereign Council, at Cairo International Airport today. The ceremonial reception, held at the Presidential Palace, included full military honors and the playing of both national anthems, underscoring the deep-rooted fraternal ties between Egypt and Sudan.

Presidential Spokesperson Counselor Dr. Ahmed Fahmy conveyed President El-Sisi's emphasis on the historical brotherly relations between the two nations, highlighting Egypt's dedication to enhancing cooperation for the benefit of both peoples.

The meeting focused on reviewing the current developments in Sudan and the concerted efforts to resolve the ongoing crisis in a manner that ensures the restoration of stability, preserves Sudanese sovereignty, unity, and integrity of its institutions, and meets the aspirations of the Sudanese people for security and stability.

President El-Sisi reiterated Egypt's commitment to the security of its brotherly nation, Sudan, and pledged continued full support for achieving political, security, and economic stability in Sudan. He stressed the importance of supporting Sudanese unity and resolving the existing conflict, given the close link between the national security of both countries.

Furthermore, President El-Sisi affirmed Egypt's ongoing role in alleviating the humanitarian impact of the conflict on the Sudanese populace, showcasing Egypt's role as a pivotal regional player in fostering peace and stability in the region.
