The Premier League and English Football League seasons for 2020-21 are set to start on September 12 according to the football's governing body in England.
Despite the season's late start, the 2020-21 season for the Premier League will end on May 23, while the Championship, League One and League Two seasons will culminate on 8 and 9 May.
The current edition of the Premier League season will end on Sunday after it was halted for three months because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Premier League said that it will announce the new fixture of the new Premier League soon.
"The Premier League will continue to consult The FA and EFL regarding the scheduling of all domestic competitions," the Premier League said in a statement.
It is worth mentioning that Liverpool managed to end their 30-year wait for a Premier League title this season after they succeeded in lifting the trophy for the first time since 1990.
