The Coptic Orthodox Church is keen on supporting the community and helping the needy, especially with the approaching Easter holiday, through many programs and institutions affiliated with the Church, such as the "Do You Love Me" service and St. Mark's Humanitarian Aid Program of the Papal Office for projects.
Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, participated in the preparation of food cartons to help the poor and needy, especially in light of the economic crises the world is currently facing.
St. Mark's Humanitarian Aid Program aims to face the daily increase in poverty rates around the world.
The program supports humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of the powerless and provides many job opportunities for widows and youth through small projects.
The office also provides medical support, scholarships, and distribution of food and basic needs.
