Pope Francis, strongly condemned the "unjustified" assassination of the Ecuadorian Presidential candidate, Fernando Villavicencio.
In a telegram of condolences, Pope of the Vatican called on all citizens and political forces in Ecuador to work together in favor of establishing peace in the country.
It is worth mentioning that, Villavicencio was killed during an election rally last Wednesday in the Ecuadorian capital, Quito, and 6 Colombian men were arrested in connection with the incident.
