Spotify, a leading digital music service, has launched Wednesday a new personalized playlist for pet owners and their pets to enjoy.

The digital platform has conducted a study on how pet owners use music with their pets. They discovered that 71% of pet owners surveyed play music for their pets in five countries across the globe.

It created a unique experience to help pet owners craft an algorithmically generated playlist for their pets and enjoy together.

Pet owners can make the playlist with their pet's name and face on the playlist, to get a playlist for their pet; the owners have to head over to Spotify’s Pet Playlist website.

It then presents the owners with five pet options — cat, dog, iguana, bird, or hamster — and asks them to define a few personality traits, like whether they’re energetic or relaxed, shy or friendly, and apathetic or curious.

Spotify will spit out a playlist icon with your animal’s name on it.

It is worth mentioning that humans for a long time have enjoyed entertainment in the form of music, which was proven by numerous studies that the benefits of listening to music could affect their memory and emotional stability.

Furthermore, it was discovered that melody could help humans to heal from certain illnesses and even physical injuries.

Therefore, the power of music therapy cannot be ignored, as its effects on humans are well documented and proven.

Studies have found that they have the same effect on pets, astonishingly, the benefits of music therapy on humans can be applied to our pets.
