Peoples of countries around the world are celebrating the World Smile Day.

The world is celebrating World Smile Day, an informal holiday that has been in place since 1999, according to the Russian Sputnik network.

The event falls on October of each year, and the smiling yellow face is a symbol of the day, created by American photographer Harvey Pal in 1963, when he was executing a company order.

The artist received $ 50 for his logo design, which was just a smiley face.

Soon, the company created and distributed medals to its employees; it was widely sought and the smiling face appeared not only on the company's cards and logos, but everywhere. The United States later issued a postage stamp with the emblem.

The artist noted in an interview that he was very happy because there was nothing simple in the world has become a smile for everyone.

The Harvey Ball World Smile Foundation was created to honor the designer. Since then, the Foundation has been the sponsor of World Smile Day.

Each year, the end of the day funds are allocated to charity. Joy and good works are encouraged all over the world.
