Deputy Spokesperson for the US Department of Defense (Pentagon), Sabrina Singh, announced that “American forces in Iraq and Syria have been subjected to 66 attacks since last October 17, which resulted in the injury of 62 people.”

Singh said, in a press conference, that “since October 17, the American armed forces, stationed in a number of bases in Syria and Iraq, have been attacked about 66 times,” noting that “32 times occurred in Iraq and 34 times in Syria.”

Singh added, "There are 62 wounded among the American soldiers."

Earlier, the US Central Command confirmed that it had launched a strike against the Iraqi forces, “backed by Iran,” as it put it, in response to the attack on its forces at the “Ain al-Assad” base in Iraq.

In the same context, American media reported that some officials in the Pentagon are frustrated by the escalation of attacks on American forces in Iraq and Syria.
