The total value of Egyptian exports is estimated at $ 2.33 billion last September, according to data issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
The exports included a group of commodities that their exportation increased during that period.
According to CAPMAS, the value of exports of plastics in their initial forms raised to $ 100.5 million last September, compared to $ 87.3 million in September 2019, an increase of 15.2%, followed by exports of pastries by a value of $ 72.3 million last September, compared to $ 61.3 million in the same month in 2019, an increase of 17.8%.
The list also included Egyptian exports of carpets and kilims worth $ 31.7 million last September, compared to $ 25.6 million in the same month in 2019, an increase of 23.6%. the Egyptian exports of bars, rods, corners, and iron wires rose to $ 27 million, compared to $ 9.3 million during the comparison period, an increase of 190.8%. The refined sugar exports rose to $ 17.5 million, compared to $ 6.2 million during the comparison period, an increase of 183.8%.
The CAPMAS announced the monthly bulletin of foreign trade data in September 2020, and the trade balance deficit amounted to $ 2.7 billion during last September, compared to $ 4 billion for the same month of the previous year, a decrease of 32.4%.
