Parliament Speaker: Administrative Capital Is One of Egypt's Most Important Achievements

Parliament Speaker Dr Hanafi Jabali said on Sunday that he had the honor yesterday to visit the new administrative capital, one of Egypt's most important achievements and dreams to cross into the future, to inspect the latest developments regarding the construction of the new parliament headquarters there.

“What I have seen there represents a miracle which every Egyptian citizen should be proud of” the parliament’s speaker added during the plenary session.

He also thanked President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the patron of development, who is seeking to build a modern civil state.

Noteworthy, Dr. Hanafi Jabali visited the headquarters of the House of Representatives in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) on Saturday.

Dr. Hanafi Jabali  was accompanied by Parliament’s deputies  Ahmed Saad Al-Din, and Mohamed Aboul Enein, and Counselor Ahmed Manna, Secretary General of Parliament.

During the visit, the Speaker of the House of Representatives was briefed on the implementation works of the new House of Representatives building.

The new parliament’s building is located on an area of about 109 thousand square meters, and has a main hall that can accommodate 1000 MPs, it is topped by a large dome with a diameter of 55 meters and a height of 65 meters.

The main building also includes rooms, a media center, an information center, a training center, and offices with a capacity of 3,200 employees, in addition to 3 main pavilions, and service buildings, including a medical center, a fire station, a parking complex, and green spaces.
