Today, on Saturday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced a young man died of serious wounds he sustained a few days ago in the town of Ya`bad, southwest of Jenin Governorate, in the northern West Bank.
On June 2, the young man was seriously injured during the violent confrontations that took place after the occupation forces stormed the town of “Ya`bad”.
Last month, iconic Palestinian reporter and journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was killed while covering an Israeli attack in the Palestinian West Bank for a famous Arabic news podcaster.
Abu Akleh was not the only reporter who was attacked during covering the events in the Jenin camp. An Al-Quds newspaper reporter was also injured, but she is in stable condition right now.
Egypt’s Foreign Minister strongly condemned the death of Palestinian journalist Shereen Abu Aqleh.
Ahmed Hafez, the ministry’s spokesperson, confirmed that this crime against the Palestinian journalist while doing her job is a violation of the international humanitarian law and an infringement on the freedom of the press and media and the right to express.
He called for the immediate start of a comprehensive investigation that leads to the achievement of justice.
The ministry expressed deep condolences and sincere sympathy for the journalist’s family and all Palestinians in this great loss.
