On Monday, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas greeted his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fatah al-Sisi on the 40th anniversary of Sinai Liberation.
In a cable of greetings, Abbas expressed his great appreciation for the sacrifices made by Egypt's people and its brave army in order to restore its land and defend the Arab region's issues, topped by the Palestinian cause.
Abbas also praised the historical relations between the two friendly nations, stressing his keenness to push forward their cooperation ties in the coming years.
In addition, he appreciated Egypt's authentic and steadfast stances alongside the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle to gain their complete independence.
The Palestinian leader also wished that terrorism will be eradicated and uprooted from Sinai.
