Palestinian Minister of National Economy, Mohammad Al-Amour, highlighted Egypt’s central role in early recovery and reconstruction efforts in Gaza in the coming period.
He emphasized the importance of leveraging Egypt’s expertise in construction, urban development, and infrastructure rehabilitation.
This came during a meeting between Minister Al-Amour and Egyptian Ambassador to Ramallah, Ihab Suleiman, during which the Palestinian minister expressed deep appreciation for Egypt’s ongoing efforts to support and assist the Palestinian people.
The two sides discussed economic developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly the living conditions in Gaza following the recent ceasefire agreement.
They also explored ways to enhance the delivery of humanitarian aid and relief efforts to the enclave.
The meeting further addressed opportunities to strengthen economic and trade relations.
Moreover, both officials underscored the importance of fostering private-sector partnerships and organizing consultative meetings between business leaders to explore cooperation opportunities across various economic sectors, especially in light of the severe economic impact of the war on Palestine over the past year.
