Palestinian and Jordanian security authorities have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at upgrading and modernizing emergency response systems in the Palestinian territories, marking a significant step in bilateral cooperation.

The agreement, concluded between the Palestinian Police and the Jordanian Public Security Directorate, focuses on enhancing the work of the unified emergency center (911) in Palestine by drawing on Jordan’s advanced operational experience and technical expertise.

Under the terms of the agreement, senior officials from both sides will collaborate on improving emergency response procedures, streamlining communication systems, and raising the overall efficiency of services provided to the public. Joint efforts will also focus on training and capacity building for emergency personnel, introducing modern technologies, and standardizing operating protocols for rapid reaction to incidents and crises.

Palestinian and Jordanian ministers of interior attended the signing ceremony, where they praised the long-standing fraternal relations between the two countries and reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in security and public service sectors.

Officials highlighted that the agreement reflects the strategic importance of leveraging best practices and technical know-how to serve citizens more effectively, particularly in critical situations requiring coordinated action. The initiative is expected to contribute significantly to improving public safety outcomes, increasing response speed to emergencies, and upgrading the infrastructure of Palestine’s emergency management systems.

Both sides emphasized that this collaboration will build a foundation for future partnerships in related fields, reinforcing ties between Palestine and Jordan while enhancing the quality of emergency services for communities across the region.
