Ambassador Muhannad Al-Aklouk, Palestine's representative to the Arab League, said that Israel is working to repeat the 1948 catastrophe ( known in Arabic sources as Nakba) scenario of ethnic cleansing, forced displacement, and genocide against the Palestinian people.
Al-Aklouk added in his speech before the Arab Ministerial Council for Population and Development, yesterday, Monday, that the Palestinian people in Gaza were bombed with 45,000 tons of explosives over a period of 48 days during the recent aggression on the Gaza Strip.
He pointed out that Israel bombed Gaza with a thousand tons of explosives daily, which is equivalent to 3 nuclear bombs, the size of the nuclear bomb that was bombed on Hiroshima in 1945.
He continued: "Israel also committed genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity, and changed the rules of international law and the laws of war by bombing homes, schools, hospitals, mosques, and churches, and then using them as shields and military barracks for the forces of aggression and occupation, calling for the necessity of implementing the decisions of the Arab and Islamic summit."
