Palestine Al-Ghad Association for Community Development in the Gaza Strip has signed agreements with 7 operating hospitals in Gaza to support the helpless patients in private hospitals and health centers.

The association pointed out that the deals, backed by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD), are the first of their kind to be implemented in the Gaza Strip.

Palestine Al-Ghad Association expressed its hope that this project will be an incentive and an example to others to endorse the besieged Gaza Strip and alleviate this human tragedy.

This project will ease the suffering of thousands of patients who are unable to undergo urgent surgeries and cannot wait due to the long waiting lists in government hospitals in Gaza for fear of deteriorating health conditions.

Meanwhile, this step highlights the principle of true partnership between the official and private sectors, particularly since the health sector in the Gaza Strip is managed by government institutions as well as private health institutions.

Since its establishment, Palestine Al-Ghad Association has always responded to humanitarian crises and provided full support in various aspects of life to Palestinian families, especially children, and women.

At the end of the ceremony, the association extended its sincere thanks and gratitude to AFESD for backing the Palestinian people and providing sustainable humanitarian assistance to alleviate the burdens under which many of the unable and most needy suffer.

It also stressed the necessity to shed light and raise awareness about the needy in the Gaza Strip, underlining the daily challenges they face.
